Children's outing to Sentosa
|
On 7 June 2008, Metal Industries Workers Union brought 30 children from the centre to Sentosa to participate in their family day.
The children were treated to a galore of games and won prizes. They also brought the children to watch the 4D Magix Show. The children were thrilled by the experience!
After the outing, the children were each given gift vouchers on top of the wonderful memories to take home with.
We really appreciate the time and effort that the volunteers took in blessing the children tremendously. Thank you volunteers! |

Covenant FSC Family Bonding Activity - The Amazing Race
|
11 families participated in an Amazing Race in June 2008 where they raced around different stations and played a series of station games. Volunteers helped out with logistics and also manned the station games such as obstacle course and water bomb. Some volunteers also participated by joining the families in the amazing race.
At the end of the race, families gathered back in teams to compete against each other to form the longest line.. the volunteers enthusiastically joined in to compete with the families. Next up, the children were tasked to dress up their parents. They later explained the character that their parents had assumed. Some popular characters were the Statue of Liberty, a magician and a fairy godmother.
The families later enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and were awarded prizes for their enthusiastic participation in the games.
The event would not have been a success without the help of our volunteers. It would not have been possible also without the participation of our families. Well done! |
